"OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE As a Senior Spotfire Platform Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, performance, and optimization of the Spotfire platform within a high-impact Life Sciences and Healthcare environment. This role demands deep technical expertise, proactive troubleshooting abilities, and a strong commitment to delivering seamless user experiences. Your contributions will directly support critical business intelligence initiatives, enabling data-driven decision-making and advancing the company’s objectives. DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES Roles & Responsibilities Provide advanced technical support for the Spotfire platform, ensuring high availability, reliability, security, and optimal performance across Development, Test, UAT, and Production environments. Administer, monitor, and maintain Spotfire Server, Web Player, Automation Services, Library Services, and related platform components. Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform, infrastructure, performance, authentication, and integration issues within defined service levels. Perform proactive platform monitoring, health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning to ensure seamless operation of analytics services. Manage Spotfire platform administration activities, including user provisioning, role management, group administration, access controls, and security configurations. Optimize platform performance through configuration tuning, data model optimization, caching strategies, and resource utilization improvements. Support deployment, migration, upgrade, patch management, and environment refresh activities across Spotfire environments. Configure and maintain integrations between Spotfire, enterprise databases, data warehouses, cloud platforms, APIs, and third-party applications. Utilize Spotfire APIs, IronPython scripting, JavaScript extensions, and automation capabilities to support platform customization and operational enhancements. Collaborate with business users, analytics teams, developers, data engineers, and infrastructure teams to support enterprise reporting and visualization initiatives. Monitor platform logs, system metrics, scheduled jobs, and operational trends to proactively identify risks and implement preventive solutions. Lead major incident management activities and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to reduce recurring platform issues. Ensure platform compliance with organizational security standards, audit requirements, data governance policies, and regulatory guidelines. Develop and maintain platform architecture documentation, operational runbooks, troubleshooting guides, support procedures, and knowledge base articles. Coordinate disaster recovery testing, backup validation, and business continuity activities to ensure platform resilience. Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, monitoring, deployment, and support processes. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to junior support and administration teams. Engage with Spotfire/TIBCO vendors and technology partners for issue resolution, upgrades, and platform roadmap initiatives. Participate in change management, release management, and production implementation activities following ITIL best practices. Support global users by providing platform guidance, training, technical expertise, and operational support.
