Job Overview
OpenSpace Services Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented WordPress Developer with 2–4 years of hands-on experience in developing and maintaining scalable WordPress websites.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in custom theme development, plugin customization, and performance optimization, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with designers, back-end developers, and project managers to deliver high-quality digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins based on project requirements.
- Convert UI/UX designs and wireframes into responsive, functional WordPress websites.
- Implement custom post types, taxonomies, shortcodes, and dynamic website functionality.
- Troubleshoot bugs, optimize performance, and ensure website security and stability.
- Integrate REST APIs, third-party plugins, and external services where required.
- Ensure mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility.
- Optimize websites for SEO performance and improved user experience.
- Use Git/version control for collaborative development.
- Participate in code reviews and continuously improve development practices.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong experience with WordPress Core, PHP, and MySQL.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Hands-on experience with custom themes, plugins, hooks, filters, and actions.
- Experience working with page builders such as Elementor, Gutenberg, or WPBakery.
- Understanding of responsive/mobile-first development.
- Familiarity with hosting environments, deployment processes, and cPanel.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with WooCommerce, ACF, or multilingual plugins (WPML/Polylang).
- Basic knowledge of Git workflows and Agile environments.
- Understanding of SEO fundamentals and performance optimization techniques.
- Awareness of accessibility standards and cross-browser testing.
