Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated Data Engineer with 1–3 years of experience to join our growing data team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes. You will work closely with data analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure reliable and scalable data solutions that support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.
- Extract data from multiple sources and load it into data warehouses or data lakes.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries for efficient data processing.
- Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot issues related to data quality and performance.
- Work with structured and unstructured data from various sources.
- Implement data validation and ensure data integrity across systems.
- Collaborate with analytics, BI, and engineering teams to understand business requirements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for data workflows and processes.
- Support batch and real-time data processing solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for data engineering and software development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL Development, or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database concepts.
- Experience with Python and libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, or PySpark.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.
- Knowledge of ETL tools and frameworks.
- Understanding of data modeling concepts and database design.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, or Hadoop ecosystem.
- Exposure to cloud data services like AWS S3, Redshift, Glue, Azure Data Factory, or BigQuery.
- Understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
