About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Coordinator to join our Finance team on a remote basis. This role supports the end-to-end financial operations of a growing NDIS provider — from invoicing and claims through to reconciliation and reporting. You'll work closely with the Rostering, Service Delivery, and Clinical teams to ensure billing accuracy, timely claims processing, and clean financial records across our core systems.
This is a great opportunity for someone with NDIS or disability-sector finance experience who wants autonomy in a remote role, with the systems and processes already in place to support you.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile NDIS payment claims (bulk uploads and individual claims) via the NDIS Commission portal and PRODA
- Prepare, issue, and follow up on participant and plan manager invoices
- Reconcile ShiftCare rostering/shift data against billed and claimed amounts, identifying and resolving variances
- Maintain accurate records in Xero, including bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
- Support payroll-related finance tasks in coordination with the HR/Payroll team (Employment Hero Payroll, Pay Cat), including SCHADS Award oncost checks where relevant
- Monitor overdue invoices and support debt collection/follow-up processes
- Assist with gross profit and margin reporting per participant/program
- Support month-end close processes: reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting packs
- Maintain organised, audit-ready financial records in line with NDIS Practice Standards
- Liaise with plan managers, support coordinators, and internal teams to resolve billing queries
- Assist the Finance Manager/Consultant with ad hoc reporting, forecasting, and process improvement initiatives
About You
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a finance, accounts, or bookkeeping role
- Familiarity with billing, claims processes( or willingness to learn quickly)
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with high volumes of transactional data
- Confident with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets); comfortable reconciling data across multiple sources
- Self-motivated and reliable in a remote work setting, with strong time management
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
