Job purpose
The Senior Manager – Maintenance is responsible for leading all maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment availability, reliability, and operational efficiency. The role includes preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant utilities and production equipment, effective manpower management, statutory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Duties and responsibilities
- Lead and manage the maintenance function for all plant equipment, utilities, and infrastructure.
- Plan, implement, and monitor preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance programs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation-related issues.
- Monitor, operate, and maintain critical utilities and equipment, including DG sets, 33 kV/3500 kVA transformers, L&T breakers, VCBs, compressors, cooling towers, UPS systems, and plant machinery integrated with PLC, HMI, and drive controls.
- Manage Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs), contractors, and external service providers.
- Plan and manage the procurement of maintenance spares and consumables, develop critical spare inventories, and implement cost-effective strategies to minimize downtime and equipment breakdowns.
- Prepare, maintain, and control documentation for ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016, participate in internal and external audits, and ensure ongoing compliance with quality management system requirements.
- Drive 5S implementation, maintain housekeeping standards, and enforce shop-floor discipline to promote safety, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team to implement pollution prevention measures and sustainability initiatives.
- Ensure the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials used in manufacturing processes.
Desired Candidate Profile
- B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 12–15 years of experience in maintenance management (preferably manufacturing)
- At least 5 years in leadership role managing plant maintenance operations.
- Strong technical expertise in PLC, HMI, and Drive controls.
Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
