As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Officer to spearhead our sales and market expansion across three of our core business verticals.
The Role
As a Business Development Officer, you will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, building strong B2B relationships, and driving revenue growth. You will take ownership of the sales cycle for three distinct product lines, requiring an adaptable approach and the ability to engage with diverse industries—from manufacturing and chemicals to infrastructure and renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Industrial Rigid Packaging (HDPE Drums)
- Identify and secure new B2B clients in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food processing, and bulk manufacturing sectors.
- Drive sales for our extensive range of HDPE drums (20-liter to 120-liter capacities).
- Understand client packaging requirements, regulatory compliance, and volume needs to provide tailored supply solutions.
2. Blow Molded Loft Tanks
- Expand our distribution network and build relationships with hardware wholesalers, plumbing distributors, and real estate developers.
- Promote and sell our range of blow-molded loft tanks (capacities up to 1000 liters) for residential, commercial, and industrial water storage.
- Monitor competitor pricing and market trends to ensure our products remain competitive.
3. Floating Platforms (Jetties & Solar)
- Target niche markets in the infrastructure, marine, and renewable energy sectors.
- Generate leads and secure contracts for our heavy-duty floating platforms, specifically designed for floating jetties and floating solar power plants.
- Engage with government bodies, project management consultants, and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractors to pitch platform solutions.
General Business Development:
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and new customer segments.
- Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations, proposals, and contracts.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline and report regularly on sales targets and forecasts.
- Represent Apollo Plastic Industries at industry trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 3+ years of proven experience in B2B sales or business development. Experience in the plastics manufacturing, packaging, or infrastructure sectors is compulsory.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to understand technical product specifications and articulate their value to different industries.
- Strong networker with a proactive, self-starter mentality.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel as needed between our Daman operations, our Mumbai office, and client sites.
