We are seeking a highly organized, discreet, and experienced House Manager to oversee the daily operations and long-term maintenance of a private residence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing household staff, coordinating vendors, maintaining household inventories, and ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the home. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a strong emphasis on discretion and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of household operations, ensuring the residence is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and functionality.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise household staff, including housekeepers, chefs, gardeners, chauffeurs, and other service providers, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
- Develop and manage household budgets, track expenses, handle petty cash, and manage financial records with meticulous attention to detail.
- Coordinate and oversee external vendors, contractors, and service providers for maintenance, repairs, renovations, and special projects, ensuring quality and timely completion.
- Manage household inventories, including groceries, cleaning supplies, personal items, and fine art/collectibles, ensuring timely replenishment and proper care.
- Plan and coordinate household events, parties, and travel arrangements as required, including guest management and itinerary planning.
- Implement and maintain household systems and procedures for efficiency, organization, and security, including smart home technologies.
- Ensure the security and privacy of the residence and its occupants at all times, managing security systems and protocols.
- Handle administrative tasks such as mail management, bill payments, correspondence, and detailed record-keeping.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all household-related matters, liaising effectively with family members and external parties.
- Oversee property maintenance schedules and ensure all systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping) are in good working order and regularly serviced.
- Manage vehicle maintenance, registration, and scheduling for household vehicles, ensuring they are always in pristine condition.
