Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager for our high-fashion garment manufacturing unit. The candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the complete production process to ensure timely delivery, superior quality, and optimum productivity. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in handling high-fashion apparel, sampling, production planning, line management, quality control, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage daily production activities to achieve production targets.
- Coordinate with Merchandising, Sampling, Cutting, Sewing, Finishing, and Quality departments.
- Ensure timely execution of orders as per buyer specifications and delivery schedules.
- Monitor production efficiency, line balancing, and manpower utilization.
- Maintain high-quality standards throughout the production process.
- Analyze production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, buyer requirements, and safety standards.
- Monitor fabric and trim consumption to minimize wastage.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Lead, motivate, and train production teams to improve productivity.
- Coordinate with maintenance to ensure machinery uptime.
- Handle production planning for multiple high-fashion styles simultaneously.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Fashion Technology, Apparel Production, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
- 8–15 years of experience in garment manufacturing.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Production Manager in a high-fashion/export garment unit.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of high-fashion garment construction.
- Expertise in production planning and control (PPC).
- Line balancing and production efficiency improvement.
- Quality management and process control.
- Cost control and wastage reduction.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of industrial engineering concepts is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and production reporting.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with women's wear, designer garments, evening wear, luxury apparel, or premium fashion brands.
- Familiarity with export buyers and international quality standards.
- Experience handling woven and value-added garments.
Salary
₹8,00,000 – ₹15,00,000 per annum (Negotiable based on experience)
