About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Orthopedic and Sports Physiotherapist to join our team in Gurgaon. The ideal candidate will have advanced clinical expertise in managing orthopedic and sports-related musculoskeletal conditions, with a strong emphasis on manual therapy techniques and evidence-based exercise rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with orthopedic and sports injuries including acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans using advanced manual therapy techniques (joint mobilization, manipulation, soft tissue therapy, dry needling)
- Develop and supervise structured exercise rehabilitation programs for athletes and active individuals
- Conduct pre-season and post-injury functional assessments for sports clients
- Collaborate with sports coaches, orthopedic surgeons, and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient management
- Mentor and guide junior physiotherapy staff
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
- Participate in continuous professional development activities
Mandatory Qualifications
- Masters in Orthopedic Physiotherapy OR Masters in Sports Physiotherapy (MPT Orthopaedics / MPT Sports) — MANDATORY
IMPORTANT: Applications from candidates with only a BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) qualification will NOT be considered under any circumstances. Please do not apply if your highest qualification is BPT.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of post-Masters clinical experience in orthopedic and/or sports physiotherapy
- Proven track record of managing sports injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation
Preferred Skills & Profile (Strong Preference Given To)
- Certified or experienced Manual Therapists (e.g., NAIOMT, Mulligan, Maitland, McKenzie, Kaltenborn trained)
- Candidates with strong hands-on manual therapy skills including joint mobilization and manipulation
- Exercise-focused physiotherapists with expertise in therapeutic exercise prescription, functional training, and strength & conditioning for injury rehabilitation
- Experience working with elite or semi-elite athletes is a strong advantage
- Certifications in dry needling, sports taping (Kinesio/McConnell), or sports medicine will be an added advantage
