Job Summary:
The Power Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining power press machines to shape, cut, or form metal components according to specifications. The role requires strict adherence to safety standards, precision in operation, and consistent production quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up power press machines, including die installation and alignment.
- Operate mechanical or hydraulic power presses to punch, bend, or form metal sheets.
- Load raw materials and ensure proper positioning for accurate operation.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments during production.
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.
- Identify and report any machine defects or production issues.
- Follow all safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain production records and report daily output.
- Work closely with supervisors and quality control teams to meet production targets.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification in a relevant trade.
- Proven experience as a power press operator or similar role in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of machine operations, tools, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read technical drawings and job specifications.
- Basic knowledge of measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, etc.).
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to stand for long hours and handle materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with mechanical and hydraulic press machines.
- Familiarity with ISO/quality standards in manufacturing.
- Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
