This job description is designed for a Front Line Guest Experience role (often titled Guest Experience Host, Front of House Staff, or Guest Relations Executive) operating in a combined cafe and theater venue. This role requires a high level of hospitality, grooming, and multitasking ability, specifically focusing on creating a welcoming and seamless experience for guests.
- Greeting & Hosting: Provide a warm, professional, and friendly welcome to all guests upon arrival, setting the tone for their experience.
- Theater Ushering & Seating: Direct audience members to their seats, assist with ticket scanning, and manage seating capacity.
- Cafe Service: Take food and drink orders, prepare beverages (barista duties), and serve guests promptly, particularly during pre-show and interval times.
- Customer Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for enquiries, special requests, and accessibility needs.
- Sales & Upselling: Promote food, drinks, merchandise, and upcoming performances to maximize revenue.
- Maintenance & Cleanliness: Ensure the foyer, café, and auditorium areas are tidy, clean, and inviting at all times.
- Safety & Compliance: Monitor the auditorium during performances for safety, enforce theater rules, and assist with crowd management or evacuation procedures.
- Cash Handling: Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems, handle cash/card transactions accurately. Workable +7
