Job Purpose:
To manage policy advocacy, government relations, and strategic external engagement initiatives for the organization. The role requires a strong understanding of the renewable energy ecosystem, regulatory frameworks, and stakeholder management to support business growth, policy positioning, and sustainability objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Policy Advocacy & Representation

Manage engagement with Gujarat government bodies, regulatory authorities, and industry associations.
- Monitor, analyze, and interpret policy and regulatory developments related to renewable energy, green hydrogen, energy storage, transmission, and carbon markets.
- Advocate for favorable policies, incentives, and regulatory frameworks to accelerate renewable energy deployment and business growth.
- Represent the organization in industry forums, policy discussions, and stakeholder meetings.
- Track state and central government initiatives relevant to the renewable energy and sustainability sector.
2. Strategic Affairs & External Relations

Build and maintain strong relationships with policymakers, bureaucrats, industry leaders, multilateral agencies, and NGOs.
- Support strategic engagement initiatives to strengthen the organization’s positioning within the renewable energy ecosystem.
- Position the organization as a thought leader in clean energy transition and sustainability through external collaborations and policy participation.
- Identify and drive strategic partnerships and collaborations aligned with business objectives and sector growth opportunities.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders for advocacy initiatives and industry representation.
3. Research & Policy Insights

Conduct research on global energy trends, climate policies, sustainability frameworks, and emerging market mechanisms.
- Provide strategic insights and policy updates to leadership regarding regulatory risks, opportunities, and sector developments.
- Prepare policy briefs, white papers, advocacy documents, presentations, and regulatory submissions.
- Analyze policy implications on business operations and recommend actionable strategies.
- Maintain updates on industry developments, government notifications, and policy reforms.
4. Internal Collaboration

Collaborate closely with business, ESG, CSR, legal, and leadership teams to align advocacy initiatives with organizational priorities.
- Support business development teams through policy guidance and regulatory intelligence.
- Facilitate internal discussions and awareness sessions on policy developments and their business impact.
- Coordinate cross-functional inputs for policy representations and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Support leadership communication and strategic documentation related to policy matters.
Required Skills & Competencies:

- Expertise in drafting policy notes, position papers, advocacy documents, and regulatory submissions.
- Good understanding of India’s renewable energy sector, climate policies, and sustainability frameworks.

- Proficiency in Gujarati language is mandatory.
Preferred Qualification & Experience:

Master’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Law, Energy Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in policy advocacy, government relations, corporate affairs, or strategic affairs.
- Prior experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, sustainability, climate policy, or allied sectors will be preferred.
- Experience interacting with government bodies, regulators, and industry associations is highly desirable.
