CNC Operator – Milling / Turning (3, 4 & 5 Axis)
Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- B.Tech (Mechanical) preferred for higher-level roles
Experience
- Minimum 1–2 years of CNC machining experience
- Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred
- Experience in Precision Engineering, Defence, Aerospace, Automotive, or High-Precision Manufacturing Industries
Job Summary
The CNC Operator is responsible for operating CNC Milling and Turning machines to manufacture precision components as per engineering drawings, process sheets, quality requirements, and production schedules while ensuring safety, productivity, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Machine Operation
- Operate CNC Milling Machines (3, 4 & 5 Axis) and CNC Turning Centers.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished components.
- Perform machine setup as per approved work instructions.
- Monitor machining operations and ensure adherence to process parameters.
- Maintain production targets and machine utilization.
Tool Management
- Perform tool offset corrections and tool wear compensation.
- Replace worn-out cutting tools as required.
- Report tooling issues to the supervisor or tool room team.
Safety & Housekeeping
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain 5S standards and workplace cleanliness.
- Ensure proper handling of materials, tools, and equipment.
Technical Skills Required
- CNC Milling (3, 4 & 5 Axis)
- CNC Turning
- Fanuc Control
- Siemens Control
- Tool Offset Setting
- Basic G-Code & M-Code Understanding
- Reading Engineering Drawings
- Use of Precision Measuring Instruments
