- Hospitality/Service: Welcoming guests, taking orders, serving meals, and attending to passenger needs on ships or planes.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintaining high cleanliness standards, washing dishes, and cleaning dining areas, often in commercial kitchens.
- Inventory Management: Stocking tables with cutlery and condiments, and organizing kitchen, restaurant, or ship supplies.
- Facility Maintenance: Supervising the cleanliness and safety of dining, hotel, or other environments.

- Restaurant/Kitchen Steward: Handles dishwashing, sanitation, and kitchen support.
- Hotel/Cruise Ship Steward: Similar to housekeeping, but often focused on service and provisioning.
