Windows Server Engineer L2 (Noc, Soc, GSD, RDMS)
Profile of the position:
Hands-on experience with Windows servers, virtualization, server hardware, networking basics and involves both server performance/availability assessment and user support tasks. Windows administrators leverage their expertise with Windows operating system and server administration to deploy servers, support day-to-day system performance, troubleshoot system specific issues by performing log analysis and maintain server health by proactive analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Excellent Technical Skills on Active Directory and O365 Administration
- Knowledge in SCCM Administration
- Providing advanced support to NOC/ SOC/ GSD/ RDMS and assist Level 3 engineers in managing and implementing the processes.
- Acknowledge the ticket in your queue
- For Server Management, Perform the RCA and work towards resolution.
- Take care of respective escalation like server/network, security analysis, pure voice support for pure desktop releated issues and managing desktop by doing actual trouble shooting based on landesk tool
- Escalate to next level for complaints if not solved at his or her Level within 1 hr.
- Update case notes with your findings and close the ticket.
- Abide by all terms of Letter of Undertaking and follow the same.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
Hands on experience including but not limited to:
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003-2016 operating systems.
- Administration of Windows Operating System components (IIS, DNS, DHCP, AD, Hyper-V, etc.)
- O365 administration.
- SCCM administration.
- VMware administration.
- WSUS administration.
- Administration of Hardware and Firmware exposure to physical system environments.
- Analytical skills to accurately identify the root cause.
- Experience of working with customers through direct interaction during support and change management activities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective team player as well as ability to drive autonomously.
Desired Qualification
- Must be a MCSA and have Average Server knowledge along with Standard Applications.
- Basic Education must have a Bachelor’s degree or Under Graduate in any stream
- Good Communication Skills (Written & Verbal)
- Knowledge on Server Monitoring & Management is preferred.
- Understanding of ticketing system is also preferred.
- Must be willing to work in 24x7 rotational shifts.
- Previous NOC/GSD/RDMS/SOC experience will be a value add.
Desired Experience
Should have 5+ yrs of in providing Level Support to all departments Schedule time estimates for projects / task deliverables, adhere to SLA.
