Preparing RCA for major incidents & problem tickets. DB Server changes, cluster Configuration & Management
Triage: Generally the L3 is the final level of escalation for all database related issues. However in the event of an un-resolved incident which is taking longer than expected, the L3 engineer is required to co-ordinate with the Data Center TDU COE team to get expert help and work towards the resolution of incidents. They will also engage �and work with the respective TAC teams to resolve any product related issues or software bugs
Process:* Prepare RFCs and represent RFC in the CAB for approval of changes. Assign approved changes to L2 group to implement them* Gather information from vendor, customer, analysis from the troubleshooting, resolution steps implemented etc. and update the tickets regularly, as per the defined process.�* Constantly track tickets for SLA adherence and escalate on deviations as defined in the process.Oracle- � �handles day-to-day database incidents and service requests.- � �Resolves space, connectivity, and performance-related issues with minimal supervision.- � �Executes and validates backup, restore, and database cloning activities.- � �Collaborates with OS, storage, and application teams for cross-platform issues.MySQL- � �Manages operational incidents and service requests .- � �Troubleshoots replication, connectivity, and performance issues.DB2- � �Understands DB2 fundamentals such as instance, database, and tablespace concepts.- � �Familiar with support workflows, escalation matrix, and service management tools.- � �Assists in routine monitoring of DB2 logs and alert messages.
