A visual merchandiser designs and implements in-store and window displays to attract customers, elevate the shopping experience, and drive sales. They apply retail and design principles to optimize store layouts, curate product placements, and manage brand aesthetics according to the latest market trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Design: Define creative merchandising strategies, including sketching mock-ups, planning floor layouts, and creating compelling window displays.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all visual elements, signage, lighting, and promotional materials adhere to the organization's core brand guidelines.
- Campaign Execution: Update in-store environments to promote new product launches and reflect seasonal or festive themes.
- Data Analysis: Monitor sales performance and foot traffic to evaluate the effectiveness of displays and optimize the customer journey.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with marketing, buying, and store management teams to align displays with broader promotional campaigns.
- Staff Training: Develop guidelines and train retail associates on maintaining visual display standards and executing planograms.
Requirements & Skills
- Education: A bachelor's degree in visual communications, graphic design, spatial design, retail management, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Proven work experience in the retail or sales industry with a strong portfolio showcasing visual design projects.
- Design Proficiency: Working knowledge of 3D design software and industry tools such as the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Commercial Awareness: Deep understanding of consumer behavior, retail psychology, and current design trends
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
