ServiceNow Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead technical discussions, platform configuration, integrations, troubleshooting, and technical problem resolution. The candidate will work closely with engineering, architecture, QA, and product teams to ensure successful delivery of ServiceNow capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical SME for ServiceNow-related discussions and problem resolution.
- Analyse and resolve ServiceNow integration challenges involving APIs, workflows, CMDB, ITSM, ITOM, and custom applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise platforms.
- Troubleshoot API connectivity, authentication, performance, latency, and data consistency issues.
- Review and optimise ServiceNow workflows, business rules, client scripts, and integrations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams across design, development, testing, and release phases.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production incidents and recurring defects.
- Support release planning, deployment validation, and post-production hypercare.
- Create technical documentation, knowledge articles, and operational runbooks.
- Mentor development teams on ServiceNow best practices and platform governance.
Required Skills
- 10–14 years of experience with strong ServiceNow expertise.
- Strong experience with ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Service Catalog, Integration Hub, and Flow Designer.
- Strong experience with REST/SOAP APIs.
- Strong expertise in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting.
- Experience with workflow automation.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise applications, cloud platforms, and third-party tools.
- Strong understanding of OAuth, SAML, JWT, and Basic Authentication.
- Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow CSA certification.
- ServiceNow CIS certifications in ITSM, ITOM, or CMDB.
- ServiceNow CAD certification.
- Experience in enterprise-scale transformation or platform engineering programmes.
Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
