Cafe Gujjubhai is dedicated to serving delicious food with exceptional hospitality in a clean and welcoming environment. We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Helper to support our kitchen team in maintaining high standards of food preparation, cleanliness, and efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation Support
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Prepare ingredients as instructed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Help with plating and packaging food when required.
Cleaning & Hygiene
- Wash utensils, cookware, dishes, and kitchen equipment.
- Clean kitchen workstations, floors, storage areas, and food preparation surfaces.
- Ensure proper waste disposal and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Inventory & Storage
- Receive and organize kitchen supplies and stock.
- Store ingredients and food items according to food safety guidelines.
- Inform the supervisor about low stock levels or damaged items.
Kitchen Operations
- Assist in setting up and closing the kitchen each day.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service hours.
- Handle kitchen equipment responsibly and report any maintenance issues.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum qualification: 10th Pass or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a restaurant, café, or hotel kitchen is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and shift schedules.
