Job Description
Unilex Publication is a leading legal publishing company engaged in publishing law books, bare acts, commentaries, guides, and academic legal publications. We are looking for an Adobe InDesign Operator / DTP Executive to assist in book formatting, page layout creation, and basic legal publication work.
Responsibilities
* Format law books, bare acts, and legal publications using Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Word.
* Set page size, margins, master pages, headers, footers, and page numbering.
* Create and maintain book templates and publication layouts.
* Apply formatting styles to chapters, sections, headings, footnotes, and tables.
* Generate table of contents and print-ready PDF files.
* Update bare acts with amendments and formatting changes as instructed.
* Assist in preparing indexes, cross-references, and publication material.
* Maintain consistency and accuracy across all publications.
* Coordinate with the editorial team during the publication process.
Required Skills
* Adobe InDesign (Mandatory)
* Microsoft Word (Advanced Formatting)
* Book Formatting / Typesetting / DTP
* PDF Creation and Editing
* Good attention to detail
* Basic computer proficiency
Preferred Skills
* Experience in book publishing, printing, or educational publishing
* Hindi and English typing
* Knowledge of CorelDRAW or Photoshop
Eligibility
* Graduate or Undergraduate
* Freshers with strong Adobe InDesign skills may apply
* Legal knowledge is NOT required
* Training regarding bare acts, amendments, and legal publication standards will be provided
Working Hours
* Monday to Saturday
* 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will be given a practical test involving:
* Page layout setup
* Book formatting
* Basic bare act formatting
* PDF generation
