Job Description
We are a leading manufacturer, exporter, and supplier of organic and inorganic chemicals based in Vadodara, Gujarat. We are looking for a motivated and result-oriented Assistant Business Development Manager to support our sales and business development activities in domestic and international markets.
The ideal candidate should possess strong communication and negotiation skills, experience in B2B sales, and the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities. Experience in the chemical industry will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in domestic and international markets.
- Generate leads through online platforms, market research, networking, and industry databases.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Handle customer inquiries, prepare quotations, and follow up on business opportunities.
- Coordinate with customers regarding product requirements, pricing, samples, and order status.
- Assist in negotiating commercial terms and closing sales opportunities.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth execution of customer orders.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and business development reports.
- Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, and client meetings when required.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, inquiries, quotations, and sales activities.
- Support the achievement of monthly and annual sales targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing, or International Trade.
- Experience in the chemical industry will be preferred.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM software, and online business development tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of export procedures and international trade practices.
- Experience handling B2B customers and industrial clients.
- Familiarity with digital marketing and lead generation platforms.
- Ability to identify new markets and growth opportunities.
- Strong customer service and client relationship management skills.
