About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial operations of our bar and restaurant, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, timely compliance, and sound financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily sales, purchase, and expense records (food, beverage, and bar stock)
- Reconcile daily cash, card, and UPI collections with POS/billing system reports
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor and supplier payments
- Handle inventory valuation and coordinate with the stores/purchase team for stock reconciliation
- Prepare monthly P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Ensure timely GST filing, TDS deduction/deposit, and other statutory compliances
- Process staff salaries, tips distribution, and PF/ESI contributions (if applicable)
- Liaise with auditors, consultants, and the Income Tax/GST department as needed
- Monitor bar and kitchen cost control, wastage reports, and margin analysis
- Maintain proper filing of invoices, bills, licenses (excise, FSSAI, etc.), and financial documents
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com/M.Com preferred)
- Chartered Accountant (CA) — qualified or semi-qualified (CA Inter/Articleship completed) preferred
- 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, F&B, or bar/restaurant industry
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic labour compliance
- Proficiency in Tally and MS Excel
- Familiarity with POS billing systems used in restaurants/bars
- Maintain and renew liquor/excise licenses on time; ensure compliance with Telangana State Excise Department regulations
- Prepare and file periodic excise returns (stock, sales, and duty reports) and liaise with excise officials during inspections
- Track bar stock against excise permit limits and reconcile bonded stock registers
Preferred Skills
- Experience handling excise and liquor-related compliance/documentation
- Ability to work with inventory and cost-control systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines
- Good communication skills to coordinate with vendors, staff, and management
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
