Position Summary
Sisco Energy Private Limited is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to operate and maintain Horizontal Boring Machines (HBM) and Vertical Turning Machines (VTM) for machining heavy engineering components. The candidate will be responsible for machine setup, operation, dimensional inspection, process monitoring, and ensuring the production of high-quality machined components as per engineering drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation
- Operate CNC Horizontal Boring Machines (HBM) and Vertical Turning Machines (VTM) safely and efficiently.
- Set up workpieces, fixtures, tools, and machine parameters as per job requirements.
- Load and unload heavy components using cranes and lifting equipment.
- Execute machining operations according to approved drawings and process sheets.
Machining Activities
- Perform boring, drilling, facing, turning, milling, threading, and related machining operations.
- Monitor machining processes and make necessary offsets and adjustments.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements are achieved.
- Optimize machining parameters to improve productivity and tool life.
Inspection & Quality Control
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and machining specifications.
- Perform in-process and final dimensional inspections using measuring instruments.
- Maintain quality records and inspection reports as required.
- Coordinate with QA/QC personnel during inspection activities.
Machine Maintenance
- Conduct daily machine checks and routine maintenance activities.
- Report machine abnormalities and breakdowns to the Maintenance Department.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and ensure proper lubrication practices.
Safety & Housekeeping
- Follow company safety procedures and machine operating instructions.
- Use appropriate PPE while performing machining activities.
- Maintain 5S standards and housekeeping in the work area.
- Ensure safe handling of tools, fixtures, and machined components.
Production & Documentation
- Achieve daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Maintain production records, machine logs, and job completion reports.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, and Maintenance departments for smooth operations.
Qualification RequirementsEducational Qualification
- ITI Machinist / Turner / Fitter or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME).
Experience
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience operating CNC HBM and VTM machines in heavy engineering, fabrication, valve, boiler, pressure vessel, or manufacturing industries.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
