The CNC & VMC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) and VMC (Vertical Machining Center) machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC and VMC machines safely and efficiently
- Read and understand engineering drawings and blueprints
- Load raw materials and tools into machines
- Set machine parameters and offsets
- Monitor machining processes and inspect finished parts
- Use measuring instruments like vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning
- Ensure production meets quality and safety standards
- Report machine issues or defects to supervisors
- Maintain production records and documentation
Required Skills
- Knowledge of CNC/VMC machine operations
- Basic understanding of G-code and M-code
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Knowledge of measuring instruments
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Problem-solving skills
- Teamwork and communication skill
