A Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining water supply systems, drainage systems, gas lines, and plumbing fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. They diagnose plumbing issues, ensure systems operate efficiently, and comply with safety regulations and building codes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, faucets, toilets, sinks, water heaters, and drainage systems.
- Inspect plumbing systems to identify leaks, blockages, and other faults.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Use hand and power tools to assemble, install, and repair plumbing systems.
- Test plumbing systems for proper operation and safety.
- Respond to emergency plumbing repairs promptly.
- Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes and safety standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Communicate with customers to explain problems, repair options, and maintenance recommendations.
