About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Equity Research Analyst with 3–5 years of experience covering US equities. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills, along with a deep understanding of US capital markets. This role involves conducting fundamental research, generating investment insights, and supporting investment decision-making through comprehensive company and industry analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth fundamental research on US-listed companies across assigned sectors.
- Build, maintain, and enhance detailed financial models, forecasts, and valuation frameworks.
- Analyze company financial statements, earnings releases, SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K), investor presentations, and industry data.
- Prepare investment reports, earnings notes, sector updates, and thematic research pieces.
- Monitor market developments, economic trends, industry dynamics, and company-specific catalysts impacting investment recommendations.
- Perform valuation analyses using methodologies such as DCF, Comparable Company Analysis, Precedent Transactions, and Sum-of-the-Parts (SOTP).
- Participate in earnings calls, management meetings, investor conferences, and industry events.
- Develop and maintain financial databases and research models to support coverage.
- Collaborate closely with portfolio managers, investment teams, and senior analysts to identify investment opportunities.
- Present research findings and investment recommendations to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to compliance, regulatory, and research standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Equity Research, Investment Research, Asset Management, Hedge Funds, Investment Banking, or related financial services.
- Strong understanding of US equity markets, financial statements, and valuation techniques.
- Advanced financial modeling and forecasting skills.
- Experience analyzing SEC filings and US-listed companies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, Refinitiv, or similar platforms.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience covering Technology, Healthcare, Consumer, Industrials, Financials, or other US market sectors.
- Knowledge of macroeconomic indicators and their impact on equity markets.
- Exposure to quantitative screening tools and data analytics platforms.
