Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair diesel, electric, and LPG forklifts to ensure safe and efficient operations. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on forklifts.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related faults.
- Service diesel, petrol, LPG, and electric forklifts.
- Inspect forklifts to ensure safety and operational standards.
- Replace defective parts such as motors, batteries, brakes, tires, and hydraulic components.
- Maintain service records and job reports.
- Conduct battery maintenance and charging system checks (for electric forklifts).
- Perform load testing and safety checks before handing over equipment.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and statutory regulations.
- Coordinate with operations team for breakdown support.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of forklift engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
- Experience in troubleshooting engine and transmission systems.
- Knowledge of battery systems and controllers (for electric forklifts).
- Basic computer knowledge for reporting and documentation.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
- Certification in forklift maintenance (preferred).
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in forklift repair and maintenance.
- Experience in an industrial, warehouse, or manufacturing environment preferred
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
