PAR is looking for a Senior Application Engineer to join our team. We operate in an international, fast-paced, high-growth environment with a cloud and SaaS-first approach and a limited on-prem footprint. In this role, you will own the development and maintenance of internal-facing custom applications, refactor and modernize apps built by citizen developers into secure and production-ready solutions, and uphold best practices across the full SDLC.
Skills We Need to See
Required
- Experience developing web applications using the following technologies:
o React + Vite
o Node / Express.js
o Azure SQL
- Experience in database design and optimization
- Experience in API development and design
- Experience with GitHub and Azure DevOps
- Experience across the full SDLC, including source code branching and merging strategies and building CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions
- Experience using Azure or AWS to create an manage cloud hosted applications
Nice to Have
- Experience leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and work quality
- Experience developing MCP Servers
What We are Looking For
- 5–8 years of web application development experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A continuous learner, innovator, and collaborator who thrives on helping others achieve more than they thought possible — we win as a team
- Experience working within Agile Scrum methodology, including two-week sprints, daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
