Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage all cost-related aspects of our construction projects, from initial estimates through final accounts. This role is central to keeping our projects commercially sound, accurately costed, and profitable, working closely with our design, structural, and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) from architectural and structural drawings.
- Prepare cost estimates and budgets for tenders, projects, and variations.
- Measure and value completed work on site for progress billing and interim payments.
- Prepare, verify, and certify contractor and subcontractor bills and running account bills.
- Track material consumption and reconcile quantities against estimates to control wastage and cost overruns.
- Manage variations, rate analysis, and change orders, and assess their cost impact.
- Prepare and settle final accounts on project completion.
- Liaise with vendors and subcontractors for rate negotiation and procurement support.
- Maintain accurate cost records, reports, and documentation for each project.
- Support tendering by preparing rate comparisons and commercial evaluations.
Requirements
- B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering is compulsory.
- Proven experience in quantity surveying, estimation, and billing in building or infrastructure construction.
- Strong knowledge of measurement methods, rate analysis, and BOQ preparation.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings accurately.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation or billing software.
- Sound understanding of construction materials, methods, and market rates.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and documentation skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities for working with site teams and vendors.
