Role Summary
The OT Technician assists surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff during surgical procedures. The role involves preparing the operation theatre, sterilizing instruments, assisting during surgery, and ensuring OT protocols and safety standards are followed.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare the operation theatre before surgeries.
Sterilize and arrange surgical instruments and equipment. Assist surgeons and anesthetists during surgical procedures.
Ensure OT equipment such as monitors, suction, cautery, and lights are functioning properly.
Maintain OT inventory including surgical instruments and consumables.
Follow infection control and sterilization protocols.
Assist in patient preparation and positioning before surgery.
Ensure OT cleanliness and readiness for the next procedure.
Maintain surgical documentation and OT records when required.
Key Skills
Knowledge of OT procedures and surgical instruments
Understanding of sterilization and infection control
Ability to work in high-pressure surgical environments
Attention to detail and discipline
Team coordination with doctors and nurses
Qualifications
Diploma / Degree in OT Technology or Operation Theatre Technology
1–3 years experience in hospital
OT Experience assisting in surgical procedures preferred
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
