- Develop interfaces for RS232, RS485, CAN, UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, GSM, GPS, and RF modules.
- Design isolated signal-conditioning circuits for voltage, current, PT, CT, and sensor inputs.
- Design power-supply circuits, including DC-DC converters, regulators, filtering, reverse-polarity protection, surge protection, and EMI protection.
- Develop relay outputs, digital inputs, analog inputs, display interfaces, keypad interfaces, and stepper-motor control circuits.
- Perform PCB bring-up, hardware debugging, testing, and fault analysis.
- Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, power supplies, function generators, and other laboratory equipment.
- Coordinate with firmware, software, mechanical, and testing teams.
- Support prototype assembly, calibration, environmental testing, and field trials.
- Resolve component obsolescence and suggest suitable alternatives.
- Support production teams during PCB assembly and product manufacturing.
- Prepare test procedures, design documents, compliance reports, and technical specifications.
- Ensure the design meets reliability, safety, EMI/EMC, temperature, vibration, and industrial standards.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
- Experience in schematic design and multilayer PCB design.
- Knowledge of microcontrollers such as STM32, NXP, Renesas, Nordic, PIC, AVR, or similar.
- Experience with Altium Designer, OrCAD, KiCad, Eagle, or equivalent PCB-design tools.
- Good understanding of RS485, RS232, CAN, UART, SPI, and I2C communication.
- Knowledge of sensors, ADC, DAC, op-amps, signal conditioning, isolation, relays, and protection circuits.
- Understanding of power-supply design and grounding techniques.
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC, surge, ESD, filtering, and electrical-isolation requirements.
- Ability to read datasheets, circuit diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Experience in hardware testing, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
- Basic understanding of embedded C and firmware interaction will be preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in railway, automotive, industrial automation, IoT, energy monitoring, or embedded products.
- Experience with speed sensors, PT/CT inputs, current and voltage measurement circuits.
- Experience in designing hardware for harsh environments.
- Knowledge of temperature, vibration, shock, humidity, and endurance testing.
- Experience with LED displays, LCDs, stepper motors, data loggers, and monitoring systems.
- Familiarity with RDSO, IEC, EN, AIS, or industrial standards will be an advantage.
