- MBBS from a recognized institution
- Valid registration with West Bengal Medical Council / National Medical Commission
- ACLS/BLS certification preferred

Job Summary
The In-House Resident Medical Officer (RMO) is responsible for providing round-the-clock medical care to admitted and emergency patients, assisting consultants during treatment and procedures, maintaining patient records, and ensuring smooth coordination among various hospital departments. The RMO shall ensure quality patient care, emergency response, and adherence to hospital protocols.
Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Clinical Duties
- Examine, assess, and monitor admitted patients regularly.
- Attend emergency and casualty cases promptly.
- Conduct daily ward rounds and maintain progress notes.
- Assist consultants during patient evaluation, treatment, and procedures.
- Stabilize critically ill patients before consultant arrival.
- Prescribe medications and investigations as per hospital protocol.
- Monitor ICU/ward patients and report any deterioration immediately.
Emergency Management
- Handle medical emergencies efficiently.
- Provide first-line treatment in emergency situations.
- Coordinate patient transfer to ICU or higher centers when required.
- Maintain readiness for emergency response at all times.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain proper case sheets, treatment records, discharge summaries, and medico-legal documentation.
- Ensure timely updating of patient records in HMIS/manual registers.
- Follow NABH, biomedical waste, infection control, and patient safety guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with nursing staff, laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, and other departments.
- Inform consultants and hospital administration regarding critical patient conditions.
- Communicate effectively with patients’ relatives regarding patient condition under consultant guidance.
Salary: As per hospital norms and experience.
