Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and technically sound Commissioning Engineer responsible for installation supervision, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and handover of Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, and VESDA systems. The candidate will work at project sites and coordinate with the project, back-office, consultant, contractor, and OEM teams to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities1. Fire Alarm System – Honeywell Notifier
- Installation supervision, testing, and commissioning of Honeywell Notifier Fire Alarm Systems.
- Configuration and programming of Fire Alarm Control Panels, including cause & effect logic.
- Testing of smoke detectors, heat detectors, MCPs, modules, sounders, hooters, strobes, and other field devices.
- Testing and integration of FMM, monitor/control modules, tamper switches, flow switches, HVAC interfaces, lifts, AHU, fire pumps, etc.
- Troubleshooting of loop faults, earth faults, open/short circuits, communication issues, and device-related faults.
- Carry out cause & effect testing and prepare commissioning reports.
2. CCTV System
- Installation supervision, configuration, testing, and commissioning of IP CCTV systems.
- Configuration of IP cameras, NVR/VMS, switches, storage, monitors, and related equipment.
- Camera focusing, positioning, IP addressing, and network connectivity checks.
- Testing of recording, playback, storage, remote monitoring, and camera health.
- Troubleshooting of camera, network, power, and recording-related issues.
3. Access Control System
- Installation supervision, testing, and commissioning of Access Control Systems.
- Configuration and testing of access control panels, readers, door controllers, locks, exit switches, door contacts, and related devices.
- Testing of entry/exit functions, access permissions, door status, alarms, and event logs.
- Integration with other security systems wherever required.
- Troubleshooting of communication, reader, lock, controller, and software-related issues.
4. VESDA System
- Installation supervision, testing, and commissioning of VESDA aspirating smoke detection systems.
- Configuration and programming of VESDA detectors and associated equipment.
- Testing of sampling pipe networks, airflow, smoke detection, alarm thresholds, and fault conditions.
- Carry out system health checks and troubleshoot airflow, communication, and detector-related faults.
- Coordinate with site teams for proper installation and commissioning as per approved drawings and project requirements.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, clients, OEMs, and internal project teams for commissioning activities.
- Review approved drawings, system architecture, BOQ, technical specifications, and cause & effect matrices.
- Identify site-level technical issues and provide appropriate solutions.
- Coordinate with the back-office team for required documentation, material requirements, and commissioning records.
- Attend site meetings and provide regular updates on commissioning progress.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned commissioning activities.
Documentation & Handover
- Prepare commissioning and testing reports.
- Maintain device-wise testing records and checklists.
- Prepare punch-point lists and ensure timely closure.
- Assist in preparation of as-built drawings, test reports, handover documents, and O&M documentation.
- Conduct system demonstrations and basic operator training for clients/end users.
- Obtain client/consultant sign-off after successful commissioning.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Fire & Security Systems commissioning.
- Hands-on experience with Honeywell Notifier Fire Alarm Systems is preferred.
- Working knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, and VESDA systems.
- Knowledge of IP networking, TCP/IP, LAN, switches, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and understand FAS, CCTV, Access Control, VESDA, and system architecture drawings.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
