Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Pastry Chef with strong expertise in bakery and confectionery production. The candidate should have experience in FMCG food production, hotel bakery operations, quality control, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce pastries, cakes, desserts, breads, and bakery products
- Develop new recipes and improve existing product quality
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
- Handle bulk production for FMCG or commercial bakery operations
- Monitor food quality, hygiene, and safety standards
- Manage kitchen operations and bakery production schedules
- Control raw material usage and minimize wastage
- Conduct stock checking and inventory monitoring for bakery ingredients
- Coordinate with purchase and stores teams for ingredient availability
- Train and supervise junior bakery staff and assistants
- Ensure proper storage and handling of bakery products
- Maintain cleanliness and compliance with food safety regulations
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience as Pastry Chef / Bakery Chef
- Experience in FMCG, hotel, bakery, or food production industry
- Strong knowledge of pastries, cakes, desserts, and bakery production
- Experience in bulk production and commercial kitchen operations
- Knowledge of inventory control and stock management
- Creative mindset with strong presentation skills
- Ability to manage team operations and production timelines
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Education
- Diploma / Degree in Hotel Management, Bakery & Confectionery, or Culinary Arts
- Certification in Pastry & Bakery preferred
