We are looking for a business-oriented Scheduling & Project Controls Manager to lead planning, scheduling, project controls, and integrated project management for the Water & Effluent Treatment business. A person who is passionate about execution, takes ownership beyond his/her defined responsibilities and has the drive and ability to bring people and functions together to deliver results.
The role will have strong scheduling expertise as its core, while also being responsible for integrating schedule, cost, resources, risks, progress, and project performance across multiple projects. The individual will work closely with Business Heads, Project Managers, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Finance, Commercial, and other functions to drive effective project execution.
The role will also lead a team and drive implementation of an Integrated Project Management / Project Controls system across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, integrate, and maintain master project schedules using Primavera P6, including critical path, baselines, milestones, progress measurement, forecasting, and recovery plans.
- Drive integrated project controls by linking schedule, cost, resources, procurement, engineering, construction, risks, and commercial performance.
- Implement and monitor Earned Value Management (EVM) and key KPIs such as SPI, CPI, EV, EAC, ETC, and schedule/cost variances.
- Monitor project performance, identify trends, risks, delays, and cost/schedule deviations, and drive appropriate corrective actions.
- Provide portfolio-level dashboards, forecasts, and management insights to Business Heads and senior leadership.
- Coordinate across all functions to ensure alignment of project priorities, deliverables, resources, and execution plans.
- Work closely with Business Management teams on project performance, forecasting, resource planning, and business reviews.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of project controls/planning professionals.
- Drive standardization and continuous improvement of project management and project controls processes across the business.
Qualifications & Experience
- BE/B.Tech in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering; PG in Construction/Project Management is an advantage.
- 15+ years of experience in project planning, scheduling, project controls, or project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong expertise in Primavera P6, MSP and EPC project scheduling.
- Strong understanding of EVM, Cost management, Forecasting, SPI/CPI, and project performance management.
- Experience in Water & Wastewater / Effluent Treatment / EPC projects will be highly preferred.
- PMP / PMI-SP / equivalent certification is an advantage.
