Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Turning Operator with hands-on experience on Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes/turning centers to join our precision machining team. The role involves setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC turning machines to produce high-quality turned components as per drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC turning machines (Fanuc Oi / 0i / 21i / 31i series preferred) for production runs.
- Load/unload raw materials (bars, castings, forgings) and ensure proper alignment and fixturing.
- Select, install, and change cutting tools, inserts, and fixtures as required.
- Edit and prove programs at the machine (basic G-code / M-code modifications; full programming a plus).
- Monitor machine operations, adjust speeds/feeds, and make offsets to maintain tight tolerances (±0.01 mm or better).
- Inspect parts using measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, bore gauge, surface plate, etc.) during and after machining.
- Perform tool changes, offset corrections, and minor maintenance (cleaning, lubrication).
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Maintain daily production logs, report any issues to supervisor, and ensure 5S/shop floor cleanliness.
- Work towards zero-defect output and adhere to safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as CNC Turning Operator (minimum 1–2 years mandatory on Fanuc controls; LMW, Ace, Jyoti, or similar Indian machines a plus).
- Strong knowledge of Fanuc CNC interface, G-code basics, tool offsets, and work offsets.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring tools.
- Good understanding of machining parameters for materials like MS, SS, EN series, aluminum, brass.
- Positive attitude, attention to detail, and commitment to quality and safety.
- Immediate joiners or short notice period preferred.
