About the Role
A To Z Polycompounds is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quality Control Executive to join our Quality Team. This role is ideal for freshers or candidates with up to 1-2 years of experience who are interested in polymer testing, quality inspection, laboratory work, and manufacturing quality control.
The candidate will be responsible for testing raw materials and finished polymer compounds, maintaining quality records, assisting in laboratory operations, and ensuring products meet customer and company quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Testing & Inspection
- Perform routine testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished polymer compounds.
- Conduct physical and mechanical tests as per established quality procedures.
- Check product parameters such as:
- Melt Flow Index (MFI)
- Density
- Moisture Content
- Hardness
- Color Matching
- Tensile Strength (where applicable)
- Impact Strength (where applicable)
- Collect and prepare samples for laboratory testing.
Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain test reports and quality records accurately.
- Update daily quality inspection logs.
- Record and report any deviations or non-conforming products.
- Assist in preparing Certificates of Analysis (COA) and quality documentation.
Production Quality Monitoring
- Monitor production batches to ensure adherence to quality specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections during manufacturing.
- Coordinate with production operators to address quality issues.
- Segregate and identify rejected or non-conforming material.
Laboratory Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the QC laboratory.
- Ensure testing equipment is handled properly.
- Assist in calibration and maintenance of testing instruments.
- Follow all laboratory safety procedures.
Continuous Improvement
- Support senior QC personnel in root cause analysis of quality issues.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Suggest improvements to testing and inspection procedures.
Eligibility CriteriaEducation
- Diploma / B.Sc. / B.Tech in:
- Polymer Technology
- Plastics Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Chemistry
- Material Science
- Any related technical field
Experience
- Freshers are encouraged to apply.
- 0–2 years of experience in quality control, laboratory testing, plastics, polymer, or manufacturing industry preferred.
Required SkillsTechnical Skills
- Basic understanding of plastics and polymer materials.
- Knowledge of laboratory testing methods.
- Ability to use measuring instruments and testing equipment.
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word).
Soft Skills
- Attention to detail.
- Good observation and analytical skills.

- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of polymer compounding processes.
- Familiarity with ISO quality systems.
- Experience with MFI testing, density testing, or color matching.
- Internship or training in plastics/polymer industry.
Working Conditions
- Factory and laboratory-based role.
- Standing and handling material samples may be required.
- Adherence to safety and quality procedures is mandatory.
