We're hunting for a slightly obsessed Human Vertebrate (0 experience Mandatory)
Who types search queries differently after knowing how Google thinks. Who has strong opinions about meta descriptions nobody asked for. Who gets personally offended when a good article ranks on Page 2. Believes backlinks are a love language and internal linking is self-care. Has definitely Googled "how to rank on Google" — and actually read the results.
Knows (or has at least heard) the words: Keywords. Search Intent. Domain Authority. AEO. GEO. E-E-A-T. And didn't immediately close the tab. Can write in English that humans enjoy reading — not just robots. Loves working from home and would rather debug a crawl error at midnight than sit in a Monday morning meeting. (But sometimes we'll guilt-trip you into showing up somewhere. We'll bring snacks.)
Can run a content calendar without losing their mind (mostly). Willing to dip into digital marketing when SEO alone isn't enough to world dominate. Wakes up, checks rankings, and takes it personally if something dropped overnight.
What you'll get:
- Build the search presence of a brand your grandchildren will Google someday
- Work directly with founders who also check their own website's DA for fun
- Write articles that actually get read — not just published into the void
- Learn things that make you unbearable at dinner parties ("actually, that's a thin content issue…")
- Enough pay to not use coupon codes on Zepto
- A front-row seat to watch your work climb SERPs in real time — it's better than Netflix, we promise
- Make your LinkedIn connections vaguely jealous
Non-negotiable qualification:
You MUST have either: Ranked anything — a blog, a page, a Reddit post, a friend's Instagram — anywhere, anyhow. OR Written something on the internet that someone other than your mother read willingly. OR Spent more than 20 minutes on Google Search Console without crying.
