Job Summary
Company is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Coordinator to manage procurement activities for interior design and turnkey projects. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, coordinating with vendors, negotiating prices, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining purchase records to support seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure interior materials, furniture, hardware, lighting, electrical, plumbing, and dcor items.
- Identify and develop new vendors while maintaining relationships with existing suppliers.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate the best commercial terms.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely approvals.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and designers to understand material requirements.
- Track order status and ensure timely delivery of materials at project sites.
- Resolve supply-related issues such as delays, shortages, damaged materials, or quality concerns.
- Maintain purchase records, vendor database, and documentation.
- Verify invoices and coordinate with the accounts department for vendor payments.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to avoid project delays.
- Ensure procurement complies with company policies and budget requirements.
- Prepare weekly and monthly procurement status reports.
Required Skills
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Good knowledge of procurement processes and documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple purchase orders simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and ERP/Purchase Management Software.
- Knowledge of interior materials, finishes, furniture, and construction products is preferred.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience
- 2 to 5 years of experience in procurement or purchase coordination.
- Prior experience in Interior Design, Interior Fit-outs, Construction, Architecture, or Modular Furniture Industry is preferred.
