Job Title: Plant Supervisor (Fly Ash Brick & Paver Block Plant)

Job Purpose
To oversee daily plant operations, maximize production efficiency, maintain strict quality control, and manage the workforce (including laborers and the maintenance technician) to ensure smooth, safe, and cost-effective operations.
Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Execution
- Daily Targets: Plan and execute the daily production schedule for fly ash bricks and various types of paver blocks to meet delivery timelines.
- Material Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials (fly ash, cement, sand/crusher dust, quarry screenings, and water) and coordinate orders to prevent production downtime.
- Workflow Optimization: Oversee the raw material feeding process (via wheelbarrows) to ensure the correct mix ratios are being used consistently.
2. Quality Control & Curing Management
- Mix Proportioning: Ensure the correct concrete/fly ash mix designs are strictly followed by the batching and mixing team.
- Product Inspection: Inspect finished bricks and pavers for dimensional accuracy, strength, and visual defects before they are moved to the curing yard.
- Curing Oversight: Manage the curing process (water spraying or misting schedules) to ensure products achieve their maximum compression strength.
3. Team Leadership & Labor Management
- Supervision: Manage the daily attendance, shift allocation, and productivity of laborers and material handling staff (pallet truck operators).
- Maintenance Oversight: Supervise the Maintenance Technician. Ensure routine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance checklists for the brick machine, pallet trucks, and wheelbarrows are completed daily.
4. Plant Safety & Record Keeping
- Safety Compliance: Enforce the use of safety gear (PPE like masks, gloves, and safety shoes) in the dusty plant environment.
- Reporting: Maintain daily logs of production output, raw material consumption, breakage/wastage rates, and dispatch details.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or a Graduate degree with relevant industry experience.
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years supervising a concrete block, paver block, or fly ash brick manufacturing plant.
- Technical Skills: * Strong understanding of concrete mix designs and the curing process.
- Familiarity with hydraulic brick/paver molding machines and pan mixers.
- Soft Skills: Excellent leadership and labor management skills, problem-solving abilities under pressure, and clear communication.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Role
- Achieving daily and monthly production targets.
- Keeping product rejection/breakage rates below a specified percentage (e.g., less than 2%).
- Ensuring zero production downtime due to preventable machine breakdowns or raw material shortages.
Pay: ₹11,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
