Position Summary
The Telecaller will execute high-volume outbound calling operations to generate student leads and book counseling appointments. This full-time, on-site role based in Rourkela focuses on lead generation through telephone outreach, initial student/parent engagement, appointment scheduling, and basic inquiry handling. The position requires collaboration with the admissions team to meet daily calling and conversion targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute 100-120 outbound calls daily to student and parent leads using dialer software.
- Deliver standardized 1-2 minute call scripts to generate interest in MBA/PGDM programs.
- Schedule 15-20 counseling appointments daily for senior counselors
- Handle basic inquiries and objections using provided responses
- Log all calls and outcomes accurately in the CRM system
- Follow up via SMS/WhatsApp with pre-approved promotional messages
- Achieve the daily target of 15+ booked appointments
Qualifications and Requirements
- Exceptional verbal communication skills with clear diction and confident telephone presence
- Demonstrated experience in telecalling, telesales, or customer outreach (6 months+ preferred)
- Familiarity with the education sector is called advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to handle rejection, maintain high call volumes, and meet daily targets
- 12th pass minimum (graduation preferred); age 20-28 years
- Fluency in English, Hindi, and Odia (Hindi/Odia fluency mandatory)
- Basic computer literacy for CRM entry and attendance marking
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary: ₹9,000 - ₹18,000 per month
