About this role
The Fund Accounting Oversight (FAO) team is in the Global Accounting and Product Services (GAAPS) division within Technology & Operations. FAO coordinates accounting service providers for BlackRock’s AMRS/EMEA portfolios, iShares, and Bitcoin CIFs, providing strategic product assistance to other BlackRock teams.
Role Responsibilities:
The Associate will contribute to Fund and Product Operations, covering fund accounting and valuation oversight, portfolio and product data management, regulatory and product compliance, new fund and share class launches, regulatory cost analysis, and quality control work.
Within FAO, the team produces daily IBOR accounting valuations and portfolio returns to support BlackRock’s fund businesses across all investment mandates, including Equity, Fixed Income, Multi-Asset Solutions, Fund of Funds, and Alternatives. The team partners with custodians, counterparties, accounting providers, and internal teams to address operational, valuation, accounting, and regulatory issues including supporting EMEA regulatory requirements applicable to investment funds and products including UCITS, MiFID ||, PRIIPS/ KID, AIFMD, SFDR and other applicable country specific fund, product and disclosure requirements. Primary Job Responsibilities:
Support new fund and share class launches, including product, regulatory, operational and fee requirements
Coordinate with product, regulatory, compliance, operations and other stakeholders to resolve data discrepancies, support regulatory updates and ensure timely completion of required regulatory activities for new and existing products.
Skills:
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Good knowledge of MS excel with working knowledge of SQL and VBA desirable. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems, technologies and processes with a strong aptitude for data analysis and problem solving.
Enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment, with excellent analytical, written and oral communications skills.
