Position Title: Bending / Rolling / Shearing Operator
Reports To: Production Supervisor / Plant Engineer
Key Responsibilities
1. Machine Operation & Material Processing
- Bending: Set up and safely operate hydraulic press brakes to bend heavy structural plates to specified angles without fracturing the material.
- Rolling: Adjust and operate plate rolling machines to form the precise cylindrical contours or curved radiuses required for transformer tank walls and cooling accessories.
- Shearing: Operate heavy-duty shearing machines to cut large metal sheets to exact, pre-determined blank dimensions with minimal waste.
- Material Handling: Safely load and unload heavy steel plates onto machinery tables using overhead cranes, jib cranes, and magnetic lifters.
2. Quality Control & Technical Execution
- Drawing Analysis: Interpret technical engineering drawings, fabrication layouts, and bend sequences to ensure operations match the design.
- Measurement: Consistently verify dimensions, angles, and curvature radius during production using vernier calipers, angle gauges, radius templates, and tape measures.
- Defect Prevention: Inspect incoming raw plates for laminations or surface defects, and ensure processed parts are free of heavy burrs, distortion, or operational cracking.
3. Maintenance & Safety
- Routine Maintenance: Conduct basic daily preventive maintenance (lubrication, fluid checks, blade clearance adjustments) on the assigned machinery.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to shop floor safety norms, including the correct usage of mandatory PPE (safety shoes, heavy-duty gloves, face protection) and machine guarding systems.
Role Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification in Sheet Metal Worker, Fitter, Turner, or Machinist trades.
- Experience: 5+ years of proven, stable hands-on experience operating hydraulic press brakes, shearing machines, and plate rollers.
- Industry Focus: Prior experience specifically within a Transformer Tank Fabrication or heavy engineering/structural steel processing environment is highly mandatory.

- Strong team collaboration skills (working closely with Nesting/Cutting Engineers and Fitters).
- Ability to work productively in a physically demanding, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
