Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Linux Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing and Linux system administration. As a Cloud/Linux Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security. You will work closely with other IT professionals to deploy and manage cloud-based solutions, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the overall success of our technology initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Implement and manage virtualization technologies for optimal resource utilization.
- Linux System Administration:
- Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems.
- Ensure system security, performance, and availability.
- Automation and Scripting:
- Develop and implement automation scripts for routine tasks and system provisioning.
- Utilize tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform for configuration management.
- Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
- Implement monitoring solutions to proactively identify and resolve performance issues.
- Optimize cloud and Linux systems for maximum efficiency.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement security best practices for cloud environments and Linux systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical expertise and support to other team members.
- Troubleshooting and Incident Response:
- Investigate and resolve incidents, outages, and other system issues in a timely manner.
- Participate in on-call rotations as needed.
- Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven 1yr experience as a Cloud Engineer or Linux System Administrator.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and Linux operating systems.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Terraform).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as Red Hat, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with database administration and management.
