The Opportunity :
As a CAD engineer, you will be part of Operation Center, India (INOPC-PG), aiming to develop a global value chain, where key business activities, resources, and expertise are shared across geographic boundaries to optimize value for Hitachi Energy customers across markets. As part of Transformers BU, we provide high-quality engineering and Technology to Hitachi Energy world. This is an important step from Hitachi Energy's Global Footprint strategy.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Create and maintain CAD models, assemblies, and drawings for transformer accessories and components in alignment with engineering requirements and company standards.
- Work closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to clarify design requirements, resolve issues, and support project execution.
- Support the standardization and continuous improvement of transformer accessories and components by applying feedback and design best practices.
- Review designs for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements to help reduce errors and support on-time delivery.
- Collaborate with global teams to share updates, align on design changes, and support efficient execution.
- Serve as a CAD subject matter expert by supporting colleagues, sharing best practices, and contributing to continuous improvement within the team and project
- Present findings to team members and engage in continuous learning of new tools and libraries.

Your Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering / mechanical engineering, or a related field with 3–8 years of progressive experience.
- Strong knowledge of Creo modeling, including Pro/Program, parameters, family tables, interchange, relations, assemblies, drawings, and tables.
- Strong team collaboration skills and the ability to work independently.
- At least two years of experience in transformer design or transformer component design.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Familiarity with Windchill and DevOps.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Strong communicator—both written and verbal—especially in technical discussions.
- Knowledge about occupational health and safety, environment and quality management systems.
