About the Role
We are looking for a LinkedIn & Personal Branding Executive who can help build and manage the LinkedIn presence of our leadership as well as multiple company pages and business initiatives.
This role is not simply about creating posts, scheduling content or maintaining social media pages.
We are looking for someone who understands why a piece of content should be created, who it is meant for, what business objective it serves and how it can contribute to brand building and lead generation.
The person will work closely with the leadership team and business functions to turn real business experiences, market observations, customer problems, industry developments and company initiatives into meaningful LinkedIn content.
Key Responsibilities1. LinkedIn Content Strategy
- Develop and execute content strategies for a leadership LinkedIn profile and multiple company pages.
- Define and manage relevant content pillars for different audiences and business objectives.
- Maintain weekly and monthly content calendars.
- Identify topics suitable for awareness, engagement, authority building and lead generation.
- Develop content ideas based on business priorities, customer problems, market trends and leadership perspectives.
- Continuously experiment with different topics, formats, hooks and content approaches.
2. Content Research & Ideation
- Research industry trends, competitors, customer discussions and relevant market developments.
- Identify topics that can generate meaningful conversations rather than simply collecting popular news.
- Convert business experiences, observations, challenges and learnings into content ideas.
- Develop strong angles and points of view around a topic before writing the actual content.
- Identify opportunities to create original, opinion-led and thought-provoking content.
3. Content Writing
- Write LinkedIn posts, thought-leadership content, carousels, polls and other relevant formats.
- Develop strong hooks that capture attention without resorting to clickbait.
- Write content that is clear, conversational, credible and appropriate for LinkedIn.
- Adapt writing style according to the audience and whether the content is for the CEO, company page, product or business initiative.
- Develop effective CTAs and conversation starters.
- Repurpose strong ideas into multiple formats where appropriate.
4. Personal Branding
- Help build a consistent and credible personal brand for the leadership profile.
- Identify opportunities to showcase leadership experiences, business lessons, opinions, observations and industry perspectives.
- Develop a consistent tone, positioning and communication style.
- Research relevant people, communities and conversations for meaningful engagement.
- Support the growth of the leadership profile through relevant content and professional engagement.
5. Lead Generation Through Content
We don't want content to be created only for likes, impressions and follower counts.
The candidate should understand how content can support business development.
Responsibilities will include:
- Identifying topics that can attract relevant prospects and decision-makers.
- Creating content around customer pain points and business challenges.
- Developing appropriate CTAs and conversation starters.
- Identifying opportunities to turn engagement into meaningful business conversations.
- Working with sales/business teams to understand customer questions and objections.
- Tracking enquiries, conversations and leads originating from LinkedIn content.
- Suggesting ways to improve content based on business outcomes.
6. Content Performance & Analytics
- Monitor LinkedIn performance on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Track reach, impressions, engagement, follower growth, profile visits, clicks and enquiries.
- Identify which topics, formats and hooks perform best.
- Analyse the quality of engagement rather than focusing only on numbers.
- Prepare simple performance reports and recommendations.
- Continuously improve the content strategy based on data and learnings.
What We Are Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in content marketing, social media, digital marketing, LinkedIn management or a related role.
- Strong written and verbal English communication.
- Good understanding of LinkedIn as a professional and business platform.
- Ability to research and develop original content ideas.
- Understanding of content pillars, audience, positioning, storytelling, hooks and CTAs.
- Basic understanding of lead generation and marketing funnels.
- Ability to understand business concepts and communicate them in simple language.
- Good attention to detail.
- Comfortable taking feedback and improving content.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple content requirements.
Most Important: We Want Thinking, Not Just Tool Usage
We use AI tools and expect team members to use technology intelligently.
However, the ability to generate content using ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or similar tools is not the skill we are hiring for.
We want someone who can first think about:
- What should we talk about?
- Why should we talk about it?
- Who should care about it?
- Which content pillar does it belong to?
- What is the interesting or differentiated angle?
- What should the reader think or do after reading it?
- Can this content create a conversation or business opportunity?
AI can help with research, brainstorming, editing and refinement, but the candidate should bring the thinking, judgement and creativity.
What Would Make You Stand Out
You would be a strong fit if you:
- Have personally managed a LinkedIn profile or company page.
- Have a portfolio of LinkedIn posts or content you have created.
- Can explain why certain posts perform better than others.
- Follow business, marketing, technology, entrepreneurship or industry-related content.
- Naturally notice interesting stories or observations that could become content.
- Can take a boring business topic and find an interesting angle.
- Are comfortable challenging a weak content idea and suggesting a better one.
- Understand that a post getting 100 likes isn't necessarily more valuable than a post generating 2 relevant business conversations.
- Have basic knowledge of Canva or other content-design tools.
- Have experience with LinkedIn analytics or social media analytics.
Who May Not Be a Good Fit
This role may not be suitable if you are primarily looking for a job where you:
- Create generic social media posts.
- Depend entirely on AI-generated content.
- Follow a fixed calendar without contributing ideas.
- Focus only on likes, followers and impressions.
- Create festival/motivational posts without a clear business objective.
- Prefer execution without research, experimentation or ownership.
Your First 90 Days
During the initial period, you will be expected to:
- Understand the leadership profile, company and different business verticals.
- Audit existing LinkedIn content and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop content pillars and a content calendar.
- Establish a consistent publishing and engagement process.
- Test different content formats and approaches.
- Start identifying content themes that generate relevant conversations.
- Build a basic content-performance reporting system.
- Recommend improvements based on actual results.
Selection Process
Candidates may be asked to complete a short practical assignment.
The assignment may involve:
- Reviewing a LinkedIn profile or company page.
- Identifying 4–5 potential content pillars.
- Suggesting content ideas under those pillars.
- Writing one LinkedIn post.
- Explaining the target audience and objective of the post.
- Explaining why the chosen hook and CTA should work.
- Suggesting how the post could contribute to lead generation.
We are interested in how you think, not just how polished your writing looks.
What You Will Get
- Direct exposure to leadership and business decision-making.
- Opportunity to work on a real personal-branding and content-marketing function.
- Exposure to multiple business verticals and industries.
- Hands-on experience in LinkedIn marketing and B2B lead generation.
- Opportunity to develop skills in content strategy, copywriting, research and analytics.
- A role where good ideas can directly influence the company's marketing and business development efforts.
