Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all field inspections related to electrical works, including transformers, 33KV switchgear, cabling, wiring, ELV systems, etc., and for coordinating inspection activities to ensure field quality standards are maintained.
- Verify that all quality-related activities are in accordance with the approved QAP and relevant codes and standards provided by the client.
- Ensure that any non-conforming project activities, including potential non-conformances, are identified and resolved through approved quality procedures.
- Ensure that all contractors’ QC control measures and procedures are documented, implemented, and fully comply with the approved PQP.
- Coordinate with contractors' representatives and site engineers for inspections and meetings regarding quality issues, including the closure of non-compliance reports.
- Prepare and circulate Daily Observation Reports as per the site communication protocol.
- Participate in site review meetings with the client and contractors.
Candidate Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of IS codes and applicable standards.
- Proficient in equipment testing, including inverters, SMB, IDT, HT panels, LA, and MMS.
- Knowledge of wiring practices.
- Experience in MMS (Module Mounting Structure) erection.
- Proficient in PV module erection.
- Knowledge of trenching and cable laying works (both AC and DC).
- Good understanding of earthing and lightning arrester (LA) systems.
- Knowledge of stringing.
- Familiarity with SMP/SMB/SCB.
- Understanding of SCADA/WMS systems.
- Experience in inverter installation and termination works.
- Proficient in DPR (Daily Progress Report) and DLR (Daily Log Report) preparation.
Experience:
Experience in solar projects is a must.
