Job Description – Senior Site Engineer - Interior Fit Out

Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution
- Execute interior fit-out works as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule.
- Supervise day-to-day site activities and ensure work progresses according to project milestones.
- Coordinate civil, architectural, MEP, and finishing works to avoid conflicts and delays.
- Monitor productivity and ensure efficient utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment.
Site Supervision
- Manage subcontractors and site workforce.
- Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality workmanship.
- Verify completed work before consultant or client inspections.
- Identify and resolve technical and execution-related issues promptly.
Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with Project Manager, architects, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Review drawings and identify discrepancies before execution.
- Assist in preparing look-ahead schedules and daily/weekly work plans.
- Ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
Quality Control
- Ensure all work complies with project specifications, approved shop drawings, and quality standards.
- Conduct quality inspections and rectify non-conformities.
- Implement quality assurance procedures during project execution.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Enforce site safety procedures and company HSE policies.
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure safe working practices.
- Report accidents, unsafe conditions, and near misses.
- Ensure proper housekeeping across the site.
Material Management
- Verify incoming materials against approved specifications.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
- Coordinate with procurement and stores for timely material delivery.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily site progress reports.
- Record manpower deployment and productivity.
- Prepare work inspection requests (WIRs), material inspection requests (MIRs), and site reports.
- Support preparation of project progress updates and client reports.
Client & Consultant Coordination
- Attend site meetings with clients and consultants.
- Respond to technical queries and coordinate inspections.
- Ensure timely closure of consultant observations and snag lists.
Project Close-Out
- Assist in testing, commissioning, snag rectification, and final handover.
- Prepare as-built documentation where required.
- Ensure completion of punch-list items before project close-out.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- 5–8 years of experience with a proven track record in executing turnkey interior fit-out projects, preferably in commercial spaces (food & retail outlets, kiosks).
- Strong knowledge of carpentry, civil, electrical, and various MEP works.
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyse drawings and BOQ.
- Proficient in measurement and billing processes.
- Willingness to travel across India and stay at project locations for the project duration.
- Flexibility to work night shifts whenever required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage schedules, budgets, and customer requirements.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant tools.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
