We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fire Alarm Technician to install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fire alarm systems in commercial, industrial, and residential properties. The ideal candidate will have experience with fire protection systems, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to ensure compliance with applicable fire and safety codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, program, and commission fire alarm systems and related equipment.
- Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance of fire alarm systems.
- Diagnose and repair faults in fire alarm panels, detectors, notification devices, and associated wiring.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Ensure all work complies with local fire codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Complete service reports, inspection records, and maintenance documentation.
- Respond to emergency service calls and system malfunctions as required.
- Coordinate with customers, contractors, and project managers during installations and service visits.
- Train clients on proper operation of installed fire alarm systems.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory required for service activities.
Qualifications Required
- Experience installing and servicing fire alarm systems.
- Knowledge of fire alarm panels, detectors, notification appliances, and life-safety systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and construction drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
