HIRING – PURCHASE HEAD
Location: Kuruli, Pune
Position: Purchase Head
Experience: 6–10 Years
Industry: Manufacturing / Automation / Engineering
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the complete purchase and procurement function
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with production requirements
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors
- Handle sourcing of raw materials, bought-out components, machinery parts, and consumables
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contracts
- Ensure timely availability of materials as per production plans
- Monitor supplier performance, quality, cost, and delivery timelines
- Maintain optimum inventory levels and control procurement costs
- Coordinate with PPC, Production, Stores, Quality, Design, and Accounts teams
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Handle purchase documentation, quotations, comparative statements, and purchase orders
- Identify cost-saving and process-improvement opportunities
Candidate Profile:
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in Purchase / Procurement
- Strong knowledge of vendor development, sourcing, negotiation, and material planning
- Experience in Manufacturing / Automation / Packaging Machinery / Material Handling / SPM industry preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills
- Good knowledge of ERP/MIS and procurement documentation
